Victimized

This whole experience has made me personally very cynical about our system of justice.

Unfortunately, hearing others' stories has only added to my feeling that our civil rights are being trampled and disregarded by the very people who are supposed to protect them.

Instead of being protected by the law, the elderly are victimized by it.

My mother's money is being used to fight her family in the courts.

They keep her from us.

If Mom could truly speak for herself, I know she would be the first to condemn those who are perpetrating this evil.

That's the truth -- if your mother could speak and defend herself, she'd make short order of the guardianship.

That's why guardianship is so horrible - because it's perpetrated upon the vulnerable and helpless.

There is nothing worse than being forcibly shut out of your loved one's life at the very time that person needs you.

All of this by court approval is by design follow the $$$$ and the votes, therein are the enablers, the reasons why these crimes against the vulnerable and their families is allowed to continue.

Plan A: strip the individuals of all rights, even their rights to have a voice, the right to speakm, to say what they want, the right to complain.

Plan B: proceed without supervision and oversight with court approval.

I think guardianship has made us all cynical as hard as we all try to fight it.

It may be a good thing. We question things rather than accept them. We are more protective. We are stronger.

Very eloquently said. Thank you.
