California revised the fees and costs charged by the probate Courts for probate cases. The new schedule of probate fees can be read below.

I do not think most of these fees are necessary. State court fees should be covered by tax dollars. Maybe if the state(or county) paid the fees, less actions would be filed. AND somebody might be keeping track for a change.
ReplyDeleteNow conservatorship is profitable for the courts too. This isn't good. If the courts make money with conservatorships, they'll just continue to encourage them.

ReplyDeleteAny increase in fees makes it even harder for family to become guardian.
