TN Woman's Adult Daughter Taken From Her

Venders of the homeless newspaper The Contributor are on street corners all across Nashville but something seemed to stand out about the woman who's usually on Franklin Road in Brentwood.

That woman is usually seen selling those papers with her daughter who suffers from Downs Syndrome.

In January, a concerned group lead by Belinda Mitchell went to court to take Lisa Arnold away from her mother.

Jad Duncan is representing them.

"She's safe in a house getting 3 meals a day. She's off the streets," said Duncan.

Among the allegations against Renata Arnold, using her daughter to get donations, encouraging her to kiss men and panhandling with her in cold temperatures.

"This is not something that was just a fly by night decision in which one particular individual decided they were gonna up and remove a child from her home. There's lots of circumstances that occurred prior to this," said Duncan.

Duncan says the group wants to return Lisa to her mother but only if her living situation improves.

He believes that's happening and it may be one reason why Judge Randy Kennedy granted Arnold more visitation rights Wednesday.

The fact that she even has to fight for those rights is something Lucas says is wrong.

"I believe that Renaa is a victim in this situation," said Lucas.

The final decision of who get's authority over Lisa Arnold will likely come here at a hearing June 8th.

  1. This is an interesting case. Surely it can't be good for this daughter to be homeless, but at the same time, it's even worse to be removed from her mother.

  2. The daughter is in a "safe house"? Ginger Franklin was supposed to be in a "safe house' - and we all know they used her for free labor.

  3. thanks for reminding us how ginger franklin was 'protected' she was slave labor for the owners of the house she was left all alone in charge full responsibilities for the residents and did all the cooking and meal planning on a food budget that was unrealistic but she did it but according to her conservator in court documents ginger was in dire condition and needed to be conserved and that is intentional deceit to the court false swearing are felonies when will the feds go after those who lie to the court?

  4. Another Randy Kennedy case? Well, that automatically has me thinking something may be fishy here....

  5. Why is it when I see Judge Randy Kennedy wearing his judicial costume I get sick and want to throw up? I don't believe one word from his mouth no credibility and he needed to be removed from the bench his throne long ago.

  6. I wonder if Jad Duncan is a Paul Housch buddy?

  7. Lisa and Renate have at no time lived "on the street" or in shelters, and so do not meet the legal definition of homeless. Renate has always secured a room or hotel or home.

  8. If Kennedy's involved, you can bet it smells.

  9. Thank you for straightening that out, B. I got the idea that they were both homeless too.

This is so very sad. I can imagine how the daughter must be feeling like her mother deserted her.

Thanks for your support in advance. I stress again that Lisa and Renate were NOT homeless. If you are familiar with Judge Kennedy's courtroom, this may not be a surprise, and that is being gracious!

  11. Actually, Lisa - daughter - is blaming herself (remember she has Down syndrome) and often "signs" to her mother that she is sorry, and when can she come home.

  12. So what is the Paul Housch story Ben? link?

  13. This situation is so disturbing my heart is broken. Mother and daughter belong together Judge Kennedy get a life and stop destroying innocent people.

  14. Another victim of Judge Randy Kennedy when will this cruelty stop?

  15. The daughter becomes the victim while the lawyers dance around and collect their fees. And the whole charade is sanctioned by the judge - in this case, the judge has a history of sanctioning this kind of abuse.

  16. B, Paul Housch is the attorney for David Tate, brother of Danny Tate and in everyone's general opinion, he's an attorney predator, cashing in on guardianships in Kennedy's court.

  17. Please see Lisa and Renate's appeal for help. Please pass along to whoever can help.

As I have spent more and more time helping Renate and Lisa, and understanding how our Court's work, I have become shocked at the lack of due process in Guardianship and Conservator cases. People need to decide in what sort of America we wish to live: One of caring, compassion and restoration, or one that tears asunder the family. This affects all of us right here and right now.

  19. You guys have no idea what you are talking about. Get the facts.

  20. To the last anon, please enlighten us of the facts.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Ok, here's the facts...the mother was whoring out her daughter and now she can't do so. The little girl would sit with her mother on the side of busy interchanges with soiled diapers..and SHE'S 20. I don't know how you people think this is "guardian abuse"

    ReplyDelete
  22. And some more facts you should consider . . . none of the lawyers are dancing around collecting any fees. There is no money in this case that can be used to pay lawyer fees. The lawyers are putting in countless hours on this case as a community service. None of them will get rich off this case.

  23. God is good. The truth has surfaced....and all the lies and manipulation will finally be over VERY SOON. Im sure certain people had the best intentions going into this (although their motives are still unclear), You should have gotten the facts from BOTH sides before you chose a ship to sail on..... God is good and the Truth will you free.
