Ohio Court Battle Over Moving Elderly Abuse Victim

MetroHealth wants her out. The family wants her to stay put.

Esther Piskor, 78, has been physically abused by nurses' aides inside the Prentiss Center nursing home at MetroHealth Medical Center.

The abuse was caught on a hidden camera that Esther's son, Steve Piskor, placed inside Esther's room with the staff's knowledge.

The family went to court seeking a temporary restraining order, trying to stop MetroHealth from moving Esther out of its facility.

The nursing home argues that Esther should be placed in another facility to ensure her safety and welfare. Steve Piskor says it doesn't make any sense.

MetroHealth disciplined eight employees based on abuse caught on the hidden camera. Now that MetroHealth has presumably cleaned house, Steve says they want to toss Esther out the door.

"Metro should be taking responsibility and stop being so defensive. My mother is the victim here, not Metro," Piskor said.

Family attorney David Krause says MetroHealth is giving Esther the boot to retaliate against the Piskor family for coming to Channel 3 to expose the abuse.

  3. Any assault charge in Ohio, even simple assault is a serious offense with serious penalties, Ohio criminal courts do not take assault offenders lightly.

Ohio Court And MetroHealth MUST UNDERSTAND A "CRIME" HAS BEEN COMMITTED "AGAINST" A VULNERABLE, DISABLED ELDERLY WOMAN !!!!!!!!

A "CRIMINAL ASSAULT " IN OHIO SHOULD PUT THE PERSON OR PERSON'S RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CRIMINAL ASSAULT IN "JAIL."

Whether Esther Piskor was in a nursing facility, on the street walking home, or living with family, the lowest form of cowardly, scum predators," without cause or reason criminally assaulted a 78 year old woman KNOWING Esther could not defend herself.

What I want to know is "HOW," did MetroHealth discipline the eight emplyees involved ? If these scum bags only lost their jobs and were Not ARRESTED and LOCKED UP...I want to know WHY!

If those responsible for the assault against Esther Piskor did not go to jail, the MetroHealth Adminstration are the ones that should be FIRED, FORCED TO LEAVE ! and a new administration put in place along with CAMERA'S in every Resident's room.

It is time Ohio puts these criminals behind bars for criminally assaulting our Families just because they feel like it and they think because the elder is old they are of no use.

What person at MetroHealth had the bright idea to place Esther in another facility to ensure her safety and welfare? No wonder the son is questioning his Mother's care at metroHealth Medical Center, Now to get even MetroHealth wants Esther to be placed in another nursing home that has been sued eight times for their negligence and inappropriate care ??

I pray to God, Ohio Governor John Kasich, Attorney General Mike DeWine are reading NASGA's Blog and will come to the rescue of Esther Pislor and her family.

FBI AGENTS, need to make their presence known in all Ohio nursing homes, set up camera's in every resident's room, have police monitor the aides and everyone else to protect the innocent disabled and elderly.
