These stories tell of horrors going on in the United States of America against our elders, who are involuntarily incarcerated and robbed of the Constitutional Rights to self-determination, or the Durable Powers of Attorney they leave with trusted family. One would think, these stories come from third world countries, but they are real in these United States of America...POWER AND GREED IS EVERYWHERE.eb
Every time I see another victim telling her/his story, I thank Lawless America for the effort. And I thank NASGA for being there for victims and for working tirelessly for reform.
Thank you for covering our story once again, NASGA.
You are one of our best reporters in this sad community.
Yes, these stories are like tales of pogroms in "some other country," but they are happening everywhere in the US of A, even ~ or especially ~ in sunny Connecticut. It's like Kafka Meets Dickens in 1600s Salem, Mass.
My "fitness" or UNfitness to continue as my mother's Durable POA and Health Care Representative was never even discussed, let alone examined under Rules of Evidence. In 2 1/2 years, I have never faced my "accusers." Where is the Due Process? If the "evaluators" stand to gain the family's entirelife savings, and there is no regulation or review of their Decisions, WHY WOULD THEY EVER FIND A FAMILY TO BE FIT ??? There is no incentive for Justice, but every incentive for, and no deterrent against, grabbing everything for themselves.
These permanently life-destroying Decisions should not be made behind closed doors by a group of self-interested profiteers ~ these matters must be decided in the light of day, by a real Judge, following Rules of Evidence, with a Jury ~ by disinterested people who don't get to keep the booty of the 'unfit.'
Thank you for posting these videos. They tell a clear story.
