New details have emerged about the poor conditions inside a Columbus senior care facility.
The Facility Director of Loving Care Senior Citizen Home was arrested on Dec. 4 on multiple charges. According to officials, Sheryl Drakeford willingly exploited disabled adults, elderly persons, or residents at the facility. Three others connected to the institution were arrested as well.

You know, Scott Schuett did all this and much, much worse at six facilities with 400 people in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.
ReplyDeleteIt took a YEAR AND A HALF for our myopic public officials to finally shut down his ongoing, criminal abuse and neglect. Nevertheless, Scott Schuett is still walking around a free man, whining that HE was a victim of unwarranted persecution.
Please google Scott Schuett for the appalling details too numerous to mention. Imagine what life was like for the victims day after day, month after month, year after year in those horrific facilities.
Meanwhile, our Virginia Public Guardian and Conservator Advisory Board discussed this matter thoroughly at its meetings of September 25, 2013 and November 21, 2013, but whitewashed this information from the agenda and minutes, even going so far as to conveniently fail to post the agenda and minutes of the latest meeting.
See the meetings list at the bottom of the VPGCAB page:

The VPGCAB is supposed to POLICE public guardian and conservator programs like Jewish Family Service of Tidewater and Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia who dump victims in these hellholes. Yet the VPGCAB is covering up this abuse and neglect!
Who is guarding the guardians? NO ONE!
This is one scary video.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for all the victims and those who are left there too.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, you're right about Scott Schuett. I followed those stories with disgust.
We need courageous nursing home reformers.
Hard to believe that this kind of problem can't be stopped.
