DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - Four Bucks County residents have admitted to severely neglecting an elderly relative who died in 2016.

Albert Weaver Jr., his wife Virginia Weaver, their daughter Amanda Weaver and Amanda's boyfriend Anthony Dorney, all of Richland Township, each pleaded guilty Monday to neglect of a care-dependent person, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.

Albert Weaver Sr., 84, was found dehydrated, malnourished and suffering from severe infections in his home in Richland Township in November 2016. An EMT said the home was "deplorable" and "smelled of infection."

He died at the hospital several days later.

The four lived with Weaver Sr. in two homes owned by the elderly man for free, in exchange for taking care of him.

All but Albert Weaver Jr. also pleaded guilty to theft charges for stealing money from Weaver Sr. and spending it on alcohol, drugs, guns, video games and more.

Three of the four people were sentenced Monday.

Virginia Weaver, 49, and Dorney, 29, were each sentenced to two to five years in state prison. Weaver Jr. was sentenced to 15 to 48 months in prison.

Amanda Weaver, 27, was granted a 30-day referral of sentence to receive a mental health evaluation.
