57-year-old accused of stealing from the elderly

CREEK COUNTY -  A 57-year-old woman is accused of stealing from the elderly in order to apparently fund her gambling habit.

Court records show the former administrator of Drumright Nursing Home in Creek County allegedly diverted more than $217,000 from at least 33 elderly residents. Tina Pearson has been charged with financial exploitation. 

Investigators tell the Tulsa World Pearson used her position as an administrator to divert funds that were supposed to go to residents to herself instead.
