Texas Public Hearing on Jurisprudence Tomorrow

The Senate Jurisprudence Committee will hold a public meeting to discuss the following interim committee charge:

Charge 2) Study the guardianship program implemented by the Department of Aging and Disabilities and the Department of Adult Protective Services, including the efficiency and effectiveness of the program, the relationship between the two agencies, the appropriate rights for parents, and whether clients and their assets are adequately protected.

  1. One big issues with all Guardianships is that there is an ADA coordinator in every court and that person is not doing his/her r job.

    Every guardianship proceeding has to file for special accomodations for the alleged ward but that rarely happens if ever.

    That puts a layer of Federal oversight ...... until better procedures are in place to stop the illegal raiding by greedy attorneys and incompetent or corrupt judges. The courts are responsible for court appointed attorneys violating the ADA.
