A man was arrested Wednesday morning after allegedly carrying out the possible mercy killings of his ailing wife and invalid sister, police said.
The suspect, identified as Lance Holger Anderson, 60, of Santa Clarita, is suspected of shooting his wife at their Santa Clarita home and then shooting his sister, identified as Lisa Nave, 58, in the head as she lay invalid in her bed at a North Hills nursing home.

Make no mistake, there is no mercy involved here.

ReplyDeleteI would say this is a defendant was driven on a mission, who went off the deep end to take such drastic actions on loved ones.
ReplyDeleteWe do not know the level of disabilities the woman were enduring or what promises were made between family to end suffering which is no excuse for criminal behavior on two victims: 1st degree homicide but the personal side possible there is so much more to discover if the defendant is cooperative.
No doubt he will spend the rest of his life incarcerated and I would suggest to keep a close watch as he could very well be a high level: suicide risk.
