Guardianship / conservatorship is a violation of basic human rights.
ReplyDeleteI hope NASGA members in Illinois can attend the meeting.
This makes my blood boil. We dealt with the Illinois Human Rights Council in our efforts to seek intervention for our beloved Annie.
ReplyDeleteWe dealt with this very same office. A search on the internet will reveal our pleas and their response 3 years after the fact........ Hardly intervention.
While our Annie suffered under an illegally administered anti-psychotic coupled with the "right to refuse to eat" and an illegally place "do not resuscitate"; (you can guess the results), there is no chance for immediate intervention. Their belated suggestion was for education for the facility.
Institutional rapes, battery and abuses are not "addressed in any rectifying manner", they are discussed. ................. LONG AFTER THE FACT, at a table by people with conflicting interests and NO immediate knowledge of the victim.
Only the most blatant cases with media interest result in disciplinary charges against the facility.
Is this group actually doing what it was created to do, or is it just part of the problem?
ReplyDeleteI think this group the Peoria Regional Human Rights Authority of Illinois Guardianship and Advocacy Commission might be the first line of defense for the abusers of the racket.
ReplyDeleteThe members of the Commission hey who are these people anyway? and how did they get their appointment?
I say they are on a fishing trip to intercept, to catch the complaints that will go....nowhere!!!
Aha, folks, WELCOME TO ILLINOIS, the Illinois way of being in your face deceptive - this is a smokescreen, political con-job a perception of truthseekers - to that I say: SHOW ME THE PROOF!!!
Also, please notice: Complainants names are confidential.
Ho ho ho, in Illinois speak that means no information will come out of this bogus meeting.
Good luck at the meeting!
