For The Prevention of Elder Abuse
Elder Abuse comes in obvious forms and not so obvious forms.
We are facing a national epidemic of unlawful and abusive guardianships and conservatorships --- guardians and their attorneys are getting rich off the backs of their vulnerable wards, exploiting the very people they have been court-appointed to protect. The wards are stripped of all rights, including the right to complain about the abuse. Lives are destroyed, bank accounts depleted, families torn apart.
And, it's all "legal".
Elder abuse should also include guardianship abuse.Written by a NASGA member.

The majority of people do not know about guardian abuse. If they did, I believe they would be screaming and marching in the streets. Most folks have a false sense of security because they are doing and have done the right thing when they listen to the experts; they believe that they have their "affairs in order." What most folks do not know is that there are many loopholes and
dangers, including risky trusts and predatory trusts. The guardianship probate racket can and will most likely shred and trash all of their legal directives and legal documents. And, these folks do not know that this racket can and will take total control of their lives. The guardianship system and the court's buddy club will seize, and will redirect all of their income, assets, property and possessions for their own personal benefit and profit. Yes, guardianship abuse is elder abuse.
