Anthony Lane Keeton, 36, of Forsyth County was formally charged by a grand jury in the Superior Court of Forsyth County on Dec. 10 with 18 felony counts of theft by taking and one felony count of exploitation and intimidation of an elder person, according to court documents.
According to Cpl. Doug Rainwater, spokesman for the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, Keeton was arrested on April 11, 2017, after deputies were called to a bank in Cumming, in reference to a local man that discovered unauthorized online transactions on his account totaling about $240,000 dating back to August 2015.
The man told authorities that he could not have made the online charges because he only writes checks for his account, does not own a phone or a computer and does not know how to get online, Rainwater said.
An incident report states that Keeton was identified by the victim’s daughter as the “only person to have contact” with her father, working odd jobs for him and transporting him to and from the bank.
“(Keeton) was investigated right off the bat and was the only person who would have had access to this type of information,” Rainwater said.
Rainwater said that they believe that Keeton obtained the banking information while working for the victim and used it online.
A representative for Keeton could not be reached for comment as of press time.
This case will be presided over by Forsyth County Judge Philip C. Smith and will be prosecuted by assistant district attorney Ramsey R. Magaro.

There is alot more to this story then anyone knows for one Keeton had been taking care of the Neighbor for over 10 years cut his hair and nails amongst other personal things. cooked all his meals. did his grocery shopping went to the bank for him not with him. Paid all of his bills.
Keeton put bills in his name because they wouldn't even turn the neighbors gas back on after he forgot to pay at 1 time because he had no credit. Keeton owns the property the neighbor lives on and has never asked for rent or property taxes honoring a handshake deal from 1996 made with his father inlaw that died 8 year's ago.
Keeton and the neighbor had a long standing relationship going back to when Keeton was 16.
Keeton truly worries about the neighbor every day.
Keeton was in jail for a year with no Indictment and no words from the neighbor the neighbor refused to talk to the officer's Keeton was arrested only on the words of this so called daughter. The Neighbor has no children has never been married the neighbors only relationship to the outside world was with Keaton and Keeton wife Aleah befor she passed away and the neighbors bother that would stop by every 3 or 4 months. The so called daughter is the neighbors niece that Keeton has only seen once in 10 year's.

I told Keeton they tried to make him look like a monster. But if you know him he didn't do this and he would do anything for anyone. I know he loves his neighbor they were very close. When i talk to Keeton he always tells me how he's worried about his neighbor because he very rarely see anybody stop by there.
Keeton is a wonderful person and a very close friend.
