The family of a 94-year-old woman kept vigil this week at her bedside in an Orland Park nursing home, protesting strong pain medication being administered to her that they believe is slowly killing their beloved aunt. They've picketed outside the Brighton Gardens Assisted Living Community to bring attention to the end-of-life care they say Lydia Tyler's court-appointed guardian has initiated without their input.
"It's just wrong," said Tyler's niece, Mary Sue Richards. "We're watching it play out and we're totally helpless."
But others say the story of Tyler is centered on a family spat over her estate that may, or may not, be worth a lot of money.
For the past year, Tyler has been watched over by a court-appointed guardian, Pamela Chwala, a registered nurse who is not a family member. Tyler has been at Brighton Gardens since January 2007 and previously lived at a nursing home in Burr Ridge.

I can assure you if their is a court appointed guardianship, there IS NOT "a lot of money." There may have been at one time but... not now!
Many guardianships begin with family disputes over care or finances of a family member.

I urge the family of Lydia Tyler to contact the attorney general's office (department of financial exploitation of elderly disabled, attention Mr. Andreakos) and alert him of the concerns related to the guardian and attorneys on this case (Chwala, Garcia, Solo).
Also, file reports of your concerns with lawyers with the ARDC, and your concern with Pamela Chwala, RN, with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation
Complaints to Lisa Madigan, IL Attorney General - we have her blow off, get lost, no problem, nobody else complained letter.
Every agency is covering for other agencies - elected officials are always, always thinking about who feeds their election / re-election campaign war chests always always being mindful not to BITE the hands that feed them.
HOWEVER, there is ONE person in powerful position (and his warriors) in the state of Illinois that cannot be scared off or bought off - his name is US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald.
I also suggest: Anyone in the Illinois area with guardianship abuse cases send your complaints via certified mail, tracking with return signature card in timeline form with numbered exhibits in a binder to the US Attorney and the FBI Office in the jurisdiction of the case file.
I suggest all IL complainants send a cc to Northern IL US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald's Chicago Office.
If each complainant notified and informed the federal authorities within their jurisdictions, the feds would see the patterns emerging and growing all for profit under color of law and most hearings are held without due process.
The amount of profit is staggering and all inventories and accountings are on "the honor system" no audits, no reviews all on the 'word' of the guardians, the conservators = recipe for embezzlement.... a recipe for DISASTER.

She has cerebral palsy. she also has a 12 million dallor estate. Mrs. Chwala has aready profited over 100,000 from her estate. We have a hearing Jan 28, 2011 at 11am at the Daley center in Judge O'Brien court room 1801. The reason for taking our guardianship is because Guardian Mrs. Williams did not want her niece to be in the PUN's - Children Home Base program. I did not want to because Mrs. Chwala lied on the application and lied on the medical card application to get her into the program. The program is like a lottery to help people in need. Mrs. Chwala lied to get her on this program. That is illigal and now they are taking my niece away. WE NEED HELP NOW!!!

All I can see is amazing.
Our under-aged child, with cerebral palsy and a substantial estate has recently (6 months ago) been assigned, Pamela Chwala as the court-appointed case manager.
To date she has proven to have perjured herself in a secret meeting with the estate lawyer and the trust and for some unknown reason a third-party company that's overseeing our child's mentor. I think they wanted to replace the mentor with someone of their on choosing.
She insisted that there was marital discord, abuse and neglect after we challenged her two weeks ago. While I'm not proud of losing my cool and raising my voice to get the point across that she was not coming in this house and treating my family with nothing but respect, I can see now that the little feeling was not unfounded.
We began the search for a lawyer last week and will continue on that course, and work on the suggestions posted here, this week.
I think I'm going a step further and calling in the big guns, Bill O'Reilly's team.

Arrange to have your own Court Reporter at the January 28 proceedings. You cannot be denied the right to do this. Then be sure to obtain the transcript of proceedings and include it with your reports to authorities, etc.
Do not rely on Court Reporters already on the scene - you will get, at best, edited transcripts and an incomplete record. You want to be certain to preserve a true and accurate record of ALL discussion and commentary.
You may want to check with NASGA or Probate Sharks to see if they maintain any lists of trusted Court Reporters.
Perjury, financial exploitation, falsified wills, facilitation of early deaths, kidnapping, deception of the elderly disabled, medicaid fraud.

This is Rochelle Williams again. The courtroom I have to go to is 1807 at the Daley Center in Chicago. We have court this Friday, Jan 28, 2011 between 11am and 11:30am. Pamela Chwala just called me a few hour ago at 7:26pm. Mrs Chwala just threatened me and said I better stop putting her name on her. She said that she saw my blogg and she said that Attorney Leonard LeRose asked her 2 months ago if she wanted go be Lovely's Guardian. And she said that she is mad because I hired My daughter as a personal support worker and she didnt want me to hire my daughter. She never met my daughter and the PUN'S Children Home Base Program allow you to hire family members. So I told her I did nothing wrong. She just kept blaming everything on Maxim Healthcare and Attorney LeRose. And she said I cant get her in trouble because My mother signed the application. But I guess she forgot that in the court records she made a report that I was refusing to sign the papers. Then Mrs. Chwala kept saying be careful! Be really careful to what you say and do because you dont know the price you have to pay. Then she said again, Be very careful and hung the phone up. So I know Mrs. Chwala is reading this so all I have to say is GOD BLESS US ALL!!!!

ROCHELLE, Today is court. Friday Jan 28, 2011 We were supose to be into Judge O'Brien courtroom in 1807 or 1801 but I heard It was changed to Judge Arthur Perivolidis courtroom 1809 at 11:30. Why I dont Know. We have been into Judge O'Brien courtroom for years and as soon as Mrs. Chwala see comments posted here then the Judge is changed and the courtroom. They also confiscate their assets because they don't belong to them. They belong to the poor souls forced under guardianship.

When multiple people are coming forward with complaints such as we've read about, serious consideration should be given filing complaints with the FBI.
Working together will strengthen the complaint, and demonstrate the collusion and patterns of scheme and design being utilized to exploit the estates of the disabled minors and elderly.

I post this comment in fear, but I cannot help but post as I am also someone who has had to deal with Miriam Solo. She has used badgering, lies and underhanded techninques to help my former spose to legally steal my daughter from my custody. I don't believe I have felt so much personal disdain for another woman in my whole life. It saddens me to hear that she has hurt the elderly also.

One can only wonder what type of business is conducted in a strip malll storefront without visible signage in the front, misspelled signage by the door, lack of brochures, lack of business voicemail, and a website that has been down for over a year.
One can also speculate why all court records contain the business owner's home address, rather than the business address which is lacking appropriate signage.
One can also speculate what types of "partnerships" exist with neighboring businesses in that strip mall which provide similar services and how those relationships are nurtured..
Heidilady leaves out the part about how she was going to leave Chicago for the Denver area without petitioning for removal from their jurisdiction, first. Seeing as how not two years prior, she entered into agreement, an order saying that neither parent could do just that, but thought the rule only applied to the father of her daughter, but not her, she should know that what she was doing was not right. She on;y gave up simply fleeing with the child when it became apparent that her kidnapping would have been enforced.
I am not here to either attack or defend Miriam Solo. Regardless, perhaps heidilady could stop leaving out the most important of details when recounting this story. She tried to sneak out to Colorado where she had planned on going to live with her bf, and the father of her youngest child simply enforced a legal and binding agreement signed by both parties that ensure his parental rights. She rushed into a new agreed order when she had sent everyone but her youngest to Colorado without her, and realized she was all alone and hadn't gotten laid in forever.
The fact of the matter is, she put herself and her bf in front of her child. She seems to feel entitled to not have to pay for that mistake. Also left out of the information given, it's a temporary custody. She could move back and do right by her daughter, but has stated to the judge that she has absolutely no intention of moving back, thereby relinquishing custody to the father (me) by default when the end of the set time comes.
Pam Chwala may also be going by the name of Pam Shank.

I NEED HELP AGAIN!!! Thanks for all the help everyone gave me in the past. With the helpful information, I was able to fire Pamela Chwala and hire a new attorney and home healthcare company. Thing was going good and now the nightmare has started all over again. For those who do not know, My mother and I am Guardian of my niece who is disabled. Our family has taken care of her for all her life. My niece who is over 18years of age, does have a very large estate that can take care of her for the rest of her life. A party of people tried to take our Guardianship away and put her in a home. With everyones help, I was able to keep my niece. I think they were trying to find a way to set me up. HERE'S WHAT'S GOING ON NOW. We were told by Northern Trust, GL and my attorney that If my niece die on day, my family would get none of her estate. They said that if her father who no one know who he is come out of no where when she pass, my niece whole estate would go to him. I thought that even know my sister is dead, her family would get half cause she dont have anymore kids and never married. They said no, we would get nothing. They are forcing us to do a estate planning but they dont explain to us clearly how it works so we would understand. They are trying to find my niece father after all these years. They are going to put ads in the paper etc. My attorney just told everyone that I am not willing to participate in a meeting to get family members together to help give them information to find the father. They want me to me to sign a affidavit that I dont know who the father is. My attorney has not yet returned my phone call. My questions is this: 1. If my niece did ever die, God forbid, will we get nothing, even though her mother is my sister? 2. What is Illinois intestate estate? 3. Do anyone know of any list of good home healthcare companys that do livein CNA work? 4. Do anyone know how I can find a good social worker or Case Manager for hire for my niece? They say that because my niece is disabled, she has to have one but we pay The case manager $110 a hour and she dont do anything. I have to keep taking of work and do everything. All she do is call the house and say she talk to her CNA's and bill us 30 hours a month. this is crazy. I do a lot and they wont even pay me a salary but I was able to fight for a small salary for my mother. Can anyone please direct me in the right place?
