A Goshen woman is facing charges for abusing her elderly mother and stealing almost $400,000 from her.A police affidavit shows Norma Brook took her mother to a Payson care center after the court ordered her to give up guardianship of the woman. But Brook left her there without clothing or medications, saying her mother didn't have money to buy anything.
A nurse called police after finding bedsores and bruising on the elderly woman's legs and feet.
Brook was booked into the Utah County Jail for aggravated abuse and exploitation of a vulnerable adult.

Sure hope they make her work for room and board so the tax payers don't have to support her.
If this is true, it sounds like Norma Brook has some kind of a mental problem besides her greed.
It sounds like the court did the right thing in ordering Brook to give up guardianship.
Norma Brook is one of those persons who the professionals point to in order to justify their existance.
