I experienced this problem of the family wanting to chase a new friend, long ago. Didn't understand it then, but now I know it's all about money.

I just bet he takes it to court and then everything will be lost.

His wife's behavior is very troubling - wanting to withhold his meds & all. 'Right to life' ideology went berserk. Taken to the extreme by for-profit insurance companies, nursing homes and hospice, with government agencies assenting, 'euthanizing' the elderly and disabled by starving, dehydrating and withholding meds is common. Whether through faux sympathy, ignorance or greedy disregard, it's still wrong. How weird, to be saying "thank you" to Mel Gibson for trying to save his dad's life! What can this court do about his wife's behavior?
