Nurse's License Revoked for Financial Exploitation of Nursing Home Resident

The license of a nurse from Staunton has been revoked by state officials for financial exploitation of a nursing-home resident in Maryville.

Documents from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation said licensed practical nurse Lisa DeVries “exhibited multiple instances of unethical and professional activities.”

While working at Maryville Manor, now known as Liberty Village, DeVries accepted a $500 check from a resident and deposited the check into her personal account in December 2009, according to state documents.

DeVries was fired by Maryville Manor two months later, but never reported the termination to the state, the documents stated.

I hope she is never able to get her license back.

So where's BIG GOVERNMENT?

Why isn't there sufficient screening and investigation to stop the stealing?

Kudos to the IL Dept of Financial and Professional Regulation. All unethical nurses, social workers, physicians, and banks should be reported to this department.

Go to www.probateabusemanual.blogspot.com for information on reporting unethical professionals.

Report them several times, so the reports wind up in as many investigators' hands as possible.

Interesting is the fact that, according to the link in this article, all of the busts were from the Springfield area. When you file your complaints against unethical nurses, social works, physicians, and banks, send a copy to the Springfield office, and one to the Chicago office.

THe Chicago office has disregarded multiple reports against Cook County Probate Court players.
