Dougherty County Probate Judge Leisa Blount is facing two charges after an investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
According to the the GBI, they were requested on March 15 to investigate by Dougherty County Sheriff Kevin Sproul following allegations that the 56-year-old Blount threatened a Dougherty County employee.
The GBI says that Blount allegedly made the threat of verbal violence in front of witnesses.
Blount turned herself in to the Dougherty County Jail on March 22 according to mugshots and is out on bond according to Dougherty County Jail officials.
