CERES, Calif. — Ceres police have arrested two people suspected of kidnapping an elderly woman after she informed bank employees of her situation.

Bank employees called police when the woman told them she had been kidnapped and ordered to withdraw a large amount of money, police said.

Police responded and immediately arrested 38-year-old Delia Kelly. Officers found and arrested 33-year-old Nicholas Payton, who is a felon on probation, police said. Officers said they found a gun in Payton's backpack and he had outstanding warrants.

Both suspects face kidnapping and elder abuse charges. The victim was reunited with her family.

Details on what led up to the alleged kidnapping were not released.
