Tonight on T.S.Radio: Joe Roubicek on Criminal Law Applied to Guardianship

Our guest this evening is Joe Roubicek, a detective who has dealt directly with the targeting of the elderly by predators in the probate system.

We are exposed to the criminal activity facilitated by corrupt probate courts and those who depend on them for access and protection, every day of the week. While the elderly are systematically targeted, kidnapped, isolated and neglected so that their estate can be siphoned off by the court appointed predators, a growing movement is underway to charge those responsible, criminally.

The corruption associated with probate courts across the country with the corresponding theft of estates perpetrated by predatory guardians, unethical attorneys and others who have interjected themselves into the case, has become a hot button topic. How to deal with these people in a so-called "justice system" that routinely works to protect the predators has also become the focus of many efforts.

Joe will be speaking about what can be applied to criminal law in probate cases.

The Legal Handbook for Tennessee Seniors, 2014 Edition

The TBA Public Education Committee has updated The Legal Handbook for Tennessee Seniors for 2014.

The updated Handbook contains practical information on a wide range of topics, including issues such as applying for Social Security benefits, long-term care considerations and estate planning, as well as completely new sections addressing online security and new health care legislation.

An updated list of resources relevant for Tennessee Seniors is also included. Copies are available for download or by printed form.

"The Legal Handbook for Tennessee Seniors"

The Tennessee Bar Association released "The Legal Handbook for Tennessee Seniors."

It is a new resource designed to help Tennesseans better understand federal and state benefits, new health care laws, and a wide range of other issues of importance to older citizens.

"As difficult as it is to fathom, an average of 7,000 Americans are becoming senior citizens each day," said TBA President Cindy Wyrick. "This trend is expected to continue for years, so it is important that we do something meaningful to assist this rapidly growing, but typically 'undeserved', segment of the population."
