Accused Granddaughter

Michelle Skeels is accused of stealing more than $25,000 from her 84-year-old grandfather while she had power of attorney for him. He's said to have dementia and lives at an assisted living home.

Skeels said she used the money to fix up her trailer to bring her grandfather home. Her neighbor claims to have witnessed Skeels' grandfather directing Skeels to spend money on a renovation. But prosecutors say Skeels bought two cars with the money. They also say Skeels wrote herself an $8,000 check and has been late in paying some of her grandfather's bills.

We don't know who's in the right and wrong in these cases. We know the court and prospective guardian will malign the family and paint them as crooks. But are they? Or is the guardian just making sure to be appointed as "protector"?

Disgusting! Shameful!

Harsh punishment with years in prison while working off her debt to her grandfather and society.

To bad in this case, Michelle "stole" the POA from her aunt to have access to the money with a questionable attorneys help. She wasnt interested in his health care POA. She did not have the power by law to take him home!
