Appeals Court Sides With Octomom

An appeals court has sided with octuplets' mother Nadya Suleman in her legal battle with a former child star over whether Suleman's 14 children should have an independent guardian to protect their finances.

The 4th District Court of Appeal stayed a lower court ruling siding with former Disney Mouseketeer Paul Petersen, who had taken Suleman to court over the issue. Last month, an Orange County judge agreed to appoint a guardian to examine the finances of the children.

Petersen, who is now an advocate for children in the entertainment industry, had alleged that video shot of Suleman's children violates a law aimed at protecting child entertainers from overwork. The suit seeks to create an independent trust for the children. Suleman said there was no need for a guardian.

Oh mercy my, who are the lawyers going to make their mint off now that they've been schnookered?

Yes, this is an amazing development in the right direction.

Nothing to do with whether or not we like or agree with octo mom, this is about right and wrong.

What these headhunting scouts did was wrong, going after the little one's $$$$.

I wouldn't be mailing out the invitations or having a civil rights celebration brunch over this yet. Way too much money under the IRS radar, to just walk away from this octo gold mine.

In the news, Gloria has been flapping her mouth, she has been making accusations, setting the foundation for something sinister: another attempt at a take over of the octo babies finances?

Octo mom will be a target for takeover for a very long time.

Betcha Terry Hammond is hanging on to his new heavy duty supersized wheel barrel he needed to haul profits to his money truck.

I bet there is a mega buck bounty out on octo mom: big bucks to anyone for anything they can use for another court ambush.

Good one, Anon 2. You're right -- the lawyers were probably planning how to spend their millions on this case -- all for naught!

I read some very negative news items also from other countries, including Europe about this octomom situation. The USA is not in a good light on this, we are all being judged by the actions of a few. I think this situation needs to be put to rest and let Octo mom proceed with her Octo babies in peace.
