The Senate Special Committee on Aging is holding a forum Wednesday to commemorate the committee's 50th anniversary, titled: “Aging in America: Future Challenges, Promise and Potential.” Convened by retiring Committee Chairman Sen. Herb Kohl (D-WI), the forum will be held Wednesday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. (E.T.). Featured panelists include Kathy Greenlee, assistant secretary for the Administration on Aging; Robyn Stone, Dr. P.H., executive director, LeadingAge Center for Applied Research; and Richard J. Hodes, M.D., director of the National Institute on Aging.
The forum will be held in the Dirksen Senate Office Building, in Washington, D.C.

We're getting used to the Committee having hearings and then doing basically nothing.
Did everyone see GE has been invited the one who owns nursing homes, partners with pharmaceutical companies, owns assisted living facilities, insurance companies, and the conflict goes on.
I noticed the invited speakers more of the usual what is the basis for their input into the forum? Promis and potential? What about the dangers? No warnings here?
GE? I hadn't heard that. These hearings are just for show anyway. Or at least they have been in the past.
I can't wait for Kohl to retire. The next chairman just has to be better...
with all due respect anybody other than herb kohl will be a positive step although its difficult for those in power to effect sweeping change to turn on those who fund their campaigns money talks money has power and influence and they have their eyes on us the boomers so good luck boomers i say spend spend spend cause if you don't someone will spend your money for you its your choice
