Jeffrey M. Schend, 46, appeared in Outagamie County Court on Thursday for a status conference. He’s charged with 15 felony theft counts and 12 misdemeanor counts of falsifying accounting records.
Theresa Schmieder, Schend’s recently appointed attorney, said it’ll take significant time to review evidence and develop a strategy for trial. She said she doesn’t foresee a plea agreement.

Sweet the word 'former' guardian one down how many more to go? If only those files could be audited oh wait all files are sealed and closed to protect the ward oh really? I think the secrecy protects everyone but the ward hey Wisconsin let's come out of the dark ages and OPEN THOSE FILES! What do you have to hide? Bye bye Jeff and where did the money go? Jeff has a public defender paid for by the taxpayers. Each time the fiduciary the guardian took money that didn't belong to him was an act of theft count the times he did this. Thanks for the news coverage please keep shining that light!!
I can recommend a few Guardians in California that need to be in prison.
