Scientists have linked chronic inflammatory events in the brain with the onset and progression of Alzheimer's disease. Now, South Florida residents who have mild or moderate Alzheimer's disease can participate in a study that measures the effects of a novel medication therapy to reduce inflammation and a nutritional supplement program. The Life Extension Foundation® is seeking five study participants who will receive blood tests, health evaluations, blood pressure checks, dietary supplements and study medication at no cost as well as compensation up to $500 for study participation. The study runs approximately 29 weeks.

There are FDA approved medications that may temporarily improve symptoms but current medical treatments for Alzheimer's disease do not prevent long-term clinical deterioration.
