Most protective guardianships are in place because an individual has demonstrated a serious lack of ability to perform basic self preservation instinct. Instinctive attributes to protect ones own finances and personal safety usually fall at the top of the list. Should the individual, mandated to protective services, be able to demonstrate reasonable decision making ability it is in my mind that he or she should be able to do or live as he or she wants. However, if that person demonstrates a serious threat to preservation of life or basic needs ie:sanitary care, then interventional protective services should be employed.

Sad that the corrupt system let's this continue. Needs to stop. Doing same thing to my husband and I saw him 13 times in 3 years.
