Applicants must meet these criteria:
- A minimum five years’ experience as an attorney, including at least one year working with guardianship/conservatorship cases.
- Current malpractice insurance.
- Willingness to allow the court to do a background check with the Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board.
- Completion of at least three continuing legal education credits annually related to guardianships/conservatorships.
Panel attorneys will be expected to fully participate in mandatory e-filing and e-service. Interested candidates should contact Jennifer Miller at jennifer.miller@courts.state.mn.us or (612) 348-4107 for an application.
The application deadline is Nov. 2, 2018.

Probate/Mental Health Division seeks attorney panelists

Mental illness is a growing problem in our country, some of it likely caused by addiction. We need to get a handle on it and thus far, we're only at the talking stage. It's time to move to action.
