SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Utah is one of the worst states in the nation when it comes to protecting senior citizens, coming in at #48 out of 51 in a new study's ranking of the 50 states and Washington, D.C.
Elder abuse of those 60 and older is a growing problem in the United States, with as many as 13 out of 14 cases going unreported. Disabled females who rely on others for care are the most vulnerable, a new WalletHub study finds.
Elder abuse affects every one in ten people age 60 and older in the country, by one estimate. The problem will only continue to grow as America's population of those 65 and older is expected to double by 2050. In 2012, there were 43.1 million Americans 65 or older. The number of senior citizens in the country is expected to hit 85.7 million by 2050.
In a new study, experts looked at 16 key metrics to determine the best and worst states when it comes to protecting America's elders. We've included the study's methodology below the list of states.
The study's authors say:
Our data set ranges from elder-abuse, gross-neglect and exploitation complaints to financial elder-abuse laws.”

Tell anyone you know in PA that nursing homes there are keeping successful survivors of covid 19 locked down with NEW covid 19 patients and then tricking or putting survivors into hospice care. They remove all supportive care because of hospice rules and anyone over 59 is getting sick from everything BUT sarscov2!
You can guess what the death certificates will state as COD!
