CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) — A caregiver in Cleveland has been arrested and charged with stealing money from an elderly man who she provided care to.

The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office said they arrested 44-year-old Holly Williams on Wednesday.

The victim is an 82-year-old man who said he woke up on Tuesday missing $1,250. He said the cash was missing from various areas in his house in southeast Bradley County. The man said some prescription medicine was missing as well.

The sheriff’s office said Williams was seen entering the victim’s house without authorization between 1 and 2 a.m. on December 5, while he was asleep.

Authorities are charging her with aggravated burglary, theft over $1,000 and financial exploitation of an elderly or vulnerable person.

Deputies booked Williams into the Bradley County Jail. They are holding her without bond while they wait on her arraignment.
