A state Attorney General's investigation into Macomb County Probate Court contracts with ADDMS Guardianship Services of Shelby Township found no evidence of criminal activity by the company or the court, according to a recent AG report sent to Michigan Supreme Court officials.
But the report did reveal questionable bookkeeping at ADDMS and possible breaches of fiduciary responsibility. David Tanay, chief of the Attorney General's criminal division, cited "deficiencies" in how the court is operated and recommended improved verification of bank receipts and prompt inventories of clients' assets to help correct the problems.

I am not shocked that the investigation didn't yield evidence of criminal activity.
The perps are too good at what they do.
But, the investigation did connect dots. And I hope this is pursued.
ADDMS should be taken off the market. The Macomb County Probate Court should be reprimanded. All guardianship cases in that court must have a thorough review -- and the wards and wards' families must be given a chance to correct the record, etc. The files must be brought up to compliance.
The evidence of criminal activity has probably long been covered up!
I am not surprised that they found no evidence of criminal activity.
I believe that was the plan.
Certainly ADDMS should not be considered for any more appointments and the cases they did have should be reviewed fully.
The court should also be sanctioned.
Where's the judicial discipline committee?
Oh, what a surprise, no criminal actiity? Just guilty of questionable bookkeeping? Hmmmmm it's nice to have friends in high places for protection, gets you off their criminal hook. Shameful!
Of course, the AG's office is part of the problem so it's no surprise that no criminal activity was found.

One judge is a bitter hag, another is a stupid convert from an alien profession who bats her eyelashes at the young male attorneys, the Court Administrator is in cahootz with the bitter hag, the pro tem chief judge is neither here nor there, the list goes on.
