A financial planner is accused of stealing a 70-year-old woman's life savings - more than a half-million dollars - and leaving her essentially penniless.
Springdale police arrested Martin Morris, 50.
A Hamilton County grand jury indicted Morris on 14 counts, including aggravated theft, theft from an elderly person and forgery.
Springdale police detective Keenan Riordan said Morris stole $509,637 by forging checks while handling all of the woman's finances.

He's also left her open and exposed - a ripe candidate for guardianship/conservatorship.
Martin Morris, if convicted, should suffer the maximum penalty!
U.S. v. Hall [United States Supreme Court early 1900's]
Hall was a guardian who stole $500.00 from a veteran for whom he was appointed guardian.
The punishment was "hard-time" and the US Supreme Court said .... yep, he deserves "hard-time"
[seems to me if I recall correctly --- Hall got 10years in Federal prison]
I have the case, and many many more, if anyone wants a copy ----
