Institutions, nursing homes, hospitals etc should not be allowed to file petitions for guardianship. This documentary sheds light and offers insight where the majority of we the people are in the dark. Thank you for your dedication.
Clearly Ricky's Mother and Father were completely opposites but I think the real story here is that the facility took advantage of Nancy and Richard's differences and used that - maybe even encouraged it - so they could do what they wanted instead of what was right for Ricky.
This story is so sad ... An investigation into kickbacks for prescribing those drugs , and possible Medicaid of Medicare fraud should be conducted in this facility
Often times , facilities and those in a position to profit will put the family members against each other for the sold purpose of gaining guardianship .
My heart breaks for Nancy. She did her best for Ricky and his death is an awful blow to her, but she can be proud that this film brings attention to what happened to Ricky and even to her heartache. Ricky should be here with her now.
I don't understand how they get by with drugging patients into stupors. Everybody knows about black box warnings and that psychotropic drugs should not be given for this purpose yet nursing home after nursing home continues to do this and with no accountability.
Thank you for this film. What was done to these two men was wrong in every way.
