My Mother, Mollie Florkey, was forced into Heartland Nursing Home, Hillsboro, OH in June of 2007 by her son and legal guardian.
She is alone; she is afraid; she suffers from negligent "care" and abuse. I believe she is drugged.
All she wants is to come home, with me, and let me take care of her for her remaining days. But, her son won't allow her peace, security, or the love and comfort of her daughter. And the court doesn't care.
I am afraid my beautiful and treasured Mother is going to die and I can't save her.

Isolation is the abusive guardian's cruelest tool.
I am sorry for Mollie Florkey and her daughter.
I understand completely.
Being rendered helpless, by an uncaring or corrupt court, to help our loved ones when they are in danger is like a black cloud that grows heavier and heavier each passing day.
I am sorry for Mollie Florkey's daughter and for Mollie herself.
If the son doesn't want to take care of Mom, then let Mom go home to live with the daughter.
No one WANTS to live in a nursing home.
I think of the many innocent elderly who are forced to spend the rest of their lives alone and afraid in nursing homes and it makes me sick!
We could all end up the same.
Being forced into a nursing home would be like going to prison.
Is this the cruel treatment we all have to "look forward to"?
If Mollie Florkey says she wants to go live with her daughter, then by golly she should be allowed to do just that!
Where is this happening? What does the judge say?
If it's not about MONEY, why is the woman kept prisoner?
The court has got to get inbetween feuding families and sort out the disagreement.
To deny this woman her daughter during her final days is cruel.
This is how the court "protects" vulnerable people via guardianship??? No thanks!
This is sickening. Why should anyone be forced to live in a nursing home if a loved one is willing to provide care?
I am so sorry for you and your Mom.
I went through the same thing with my Brothers, but I fought them and the seventeen attys and 2 judges until I got her back..I had to move from NJ to Florida to save her life..her million dollar estate is gone..she lies crippled up in a hospital bed, unable to move...her whole body is contracted..she was found by the police...lying on the ground in the freezing cold..I could go on and on...the attorneys, judges and everyone else involved is still laughing...God granted me back my beloved Mother...she is now safe...I will keep you and mom in my prayers...God Bless you
