Guardianship and conservatorship are supposed to protect the vulnerable elderly. Instead, it has become a sick thing - a feasting frenzy for lawyers and other so-called "fiduciaries" appointed by the courts. If this is allowed because they are not monitored, it's up to the legislators to stop it! If this is allowed because there are kickbacks in place - quid pro quo -it's up to the legislators to stop it.

I think this day dedicated to elders is a good thing. It needs to become a national holiday for real impact.
Thank you, NASGA, for being here and for working so hard for both victims and reform.
A national holiday must be our goal!
