Note:  Because of COVID-19, Whistleblowers from across the country were unable to gather in person at the annual Whistleblower Summit in Washington DC.    However, rather than skip the year entirely, the Summit decided to go forward with the Summit online.
Marti Oakley's panel on guardianship abuse is always a highlight of the Whistleblower Summit.

Marti Oakley’s discussion panel consists of Coz Skaife, Marsha Joiner, and Mary Whitten.

The first half of the discussion gives an overview of guardianship abuse through real court records from Montgomery County, PA, including how victims are ensnared in the courthouse, the use of court appointed doctors to deem citizens incapacitated (whether they are or not), flimflam financial paperwork submitted by professional financial guardians, the ignoring of power of attorney paperwork, and the revoking of citizens trusts and handing them over to “professional” guardians.

The second half of the discussion covers hospice abuse, including how they profit, inappropriate drugs prescribed and their side effects, the alarming criteria for who qualifies for hospice, as well as useful books and internet sides for reference.

After all, they are sitting right there in the front row of the church! This is a very common tactic for sociopaths and psychopaths. They hide behind churches and portray themselves as highly regarded members of the community. They secure connections to other high profile people in the community. How could you ever suspect them of anything?

Tonight on Marti Oakley's TS Radio Network: IN THE MIX WITH COZ AND MARTI "LET'S TALK" Court Appointed Serial Killers and Others Who Stalk the Elderly

It is becoming increasingly apparent that many so-called “professional guardians” are in actuality serial killers. Two recent examples of this were Rebecca Fierle in Florida, and April Parks in Las Vegas. Both were found to have stored and kept the cremated ashes of their victims just as other serial killers keep trophies from their kills to help them relive their pleasure in their crimes. How many other “professional guardians” are keeping trophies?

Cohorts in Crime:
Referred to as “Angels of Death”, many nurses and caregivers are serial killers who are sadistic and take pleasure in ending the lives of the elderly and others. Lacking any sense of compassion or regard for human life, they kill with efficiency. Hiding behind professional titles or, working one on one in a care setting, these people cause untold numbers of deaths.

Claiming their victims are suffering and that toxic drugs are needed in massive doses, the patient is rendered unable to complain. Soft sounding words to the family and friends includes phrases such as, “They have dementia…they forgot how to swallow”. Or how about, …”You don;t want them to suffer do you?” (Now there’s a guilt trip for you!) never mind that the person telling you that is the same person who contributed to the suffering.

These individuals appear to have a pathological interest in their perceived power over life and death. They most always situate themselves in the medical or care giving fields. This not only provides them with the perfect cover, it also provides them a steady supply of victims. The total lack of compassion towards their intended victim is on display as they move from room to room, victim to victim. It is this lack of compassion and the sheer number of victims that defines them as an angel of death.

Do they kill for some sense of power? Is it money? Or do they do it simply because they can?

Tonight, Terri Lapoint. publisher of Real News Spark, joins us to discuss her recent coverage of the hastened death of Marian Leonard in an Alabama hospice. Intentionally deprived of food and hydration, chemically restrained, Ms. Leonard succumbed August 24th as a result of the maltreatment. Ms. Leonard was fully aware that they were killing her, as was her daughter. The reason given for forcibly imprisoning Ms. Leonard against her will? She was “old”. The 103-year-old retired schoolteacher set a record for the 50 meter dash in the National Senior Games in New Mexico.

“Marian Leonard died in a nursing home that she was forced into by a judge in early 2018. Last month, her court-appointed guardian Sidney Summey restricted her from having any visitors except a token hour and a half visit twice per month from her daughter – the woman that Mrs. Leonard had designated as her chosen power of attorney, not just once, but 3 different times over a 30 year period.

She died alone. No family or friends were permitted to be with her in her final weeks. The guardian had even taken her away from her roommate, whom Nancy viewed as her mother’s “guardian angel.”

Join us this evening as former Minnesota resident Joanne Bougalis, tells of her mother's capture by a professional guardian and the subsequent deterioration in her mothers', Katherine Bougalis, health and psychological conditions that resulted from being unnecessarily institutionalized, by the guardian, and forcibly drugged with Ativan and Seroquel. After several attempts to free her mother from the guardianship which were of course rejected by the probate civil tribunal (which appears to be the protection arm of this dirty business), Joanne and her mother fled the country and are living safely and happily in Greece. Katherine's assets which were sizable are steadily being accessed by profiteers even as she is denied any access to those same assets. While still living in Minnesota a hearing for Katherine was scheduled. She was also made unavailable for her own hearing by the guardian after a doctor's appointment was scheduled conveniently for the same time as the hearing.

The guardian has been made aware in writing three years in a row where his ward is located. He continues to fraudulently report her missing and her whereabouts unknown in his annual reports. He ignores requests to step down claiming his position is supported by the Judge. He was notified both by Katherine's son and by Social Security of her whereabouts. He took specific steps to delay her social security, and took no steps to provide living and medical expenses for his ward, although it appears from reports the guardian is still paying (someone’s) medical expenses.

Having been stripped of all her rights, via the designation of "ward" of the state and suffering a "civil death", could Katherine now be viewed as escaped human property? Apparently so! As her owner of record continues to bill her estate each year.

Our friends in Australia return to discuss “public guardians”. This is another family’s journey through the secretive and corrupt Australian public guardian system.

QCAT: Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

This is a tribunal NOT a court. They do not rely on evidence.

Information states that they provide a written transcript. This is not provided stating that an audio of the hearing is acceptable. However, the audio versions lack clarity. Reasons are provided on the disc, but because of the lack of clarity, you are unable to challenge the ruling.

Often applications for a hearing in this “court” are filled with suggestive words, false and misleading information. These forms will sometimes be submitted by hospital staff, social workers, solicitors, saying that someone is abusing the person the application pertains to. In one matter there were a number of medical reports stating the person had capacity, the presiding member ignored them all.

Just as it is here in the states, property is stolen, along with cash assets and anything of value. The victim is left languishing in some facility where there is little, if any care given. Residents in care facilities are often denied the continued use of their hands, arms and legs etc. through the use of restraints.

Come join us and listen to Steven Garratt tell us how his Mother, Margaret Mary Ann Garratt age 90 died at a nursing home in Oregon August 31, 2015.

Margaret and her husband had raised their own children and fostered at least 55 during their life. Margaret lost her husband in 1998 and lived by herself for many years but in April2015 she had a stroke and went to the hospital and afterwards to a nursing home for rehab, recovery and remained at a nursing home in Gresham, Oregon. Steven did not have Power of Attorney (POA). On August 25, 2015 hospice staff were contacted by the POA, a sibling and immediately started giving her opioids and anti-psychotics (methadone, oxycodone, Haldol and Seroquel). She died 5 days later on August 31, 2015 after hospice arrival and the drugs administered to her. She even commented to her son, I’m in big trouble now, aren’t I? Sadly, he was not able to save her.

Steven has her medical records and an autopsy. Become aware of what can happen to you or your loved ones if you blindly trust rogue hospice and nursing home staff. It is our intent to inform people about the potential dangers, terminology and red flags.Stealth Euthanasia is happening across the country as elderly and disabled are being targeted for early death and deemed unworthy of more time on earth. All hospices are not bad, but so many are and you need to know ahead of time before you need any services for you or your loved ones. Most of the guests have lost loved ones whose death was hastened by medical predators. Education is key for you to know what is happening and not just listen to what you are being told by medical staff. You have the right to question doctors and nurses decisions, refuse drugs and/or hospice altogether.You should think hard about signing a Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) because no effort will be made to save you and it gives the doctors and nurses authority over you. Having a strong Medical Power of Attorney is important and name someone you literally trust with your life.

The drugs most commonly used by hospice are: Morphine, Haldol, Ativan, Seroquel, and sometimes Methadone which is like morphine and/or Fentanyl which is 100 times stronger than morphine and 50 times stronger than heroine. All of these drugs have bad side effects as with most drugs but they are more prominent with the elderly and have many side effects in common but the most important is coma and death.These are the drugs that are being given to many patients without knowledge of what the drug does and without consent from the patient or the families in many cases. We should all be informed about various drugs. Listed below are those drugs with its other name with the intended purpose of the drug and the side effects. We all need to know the names and potential side effects to look for. Morphine (Roxanol) is used to help relieve moderate to severe pain and is an opioid. Side effects listed are nausea, vomiting, constipation, light headedness, dizziness, drowsiness, agitation, confusion, hallucinations(visual or auditory), severe stomach pain, difficulty urinating, rash, swelling of face/tongue/throat, trouble breathing, slow/shallow breathing, blurred vision, muscle stiffness, bluish or purplish hue to skin,bluish hue in fingertips and lips and coma. Ativan(Lorazepam)is used to manage anxiety disorders associated with depression. Use caution with COPD patients and the elderly are more susceptible to sedation effects. Side effects include: sedation, dizziness, unsteadiness, fatigue, drowsiness, amnesia, memory impairment, confusion, depression, disorientation, convulsions, seizures, tremor, vertigo, eye function/visual disturbance, blurred vision, slurred speech, headache,

Drug interactions
gastrointestinal symptoms, nausea, constipation, jaundice, paradoxical reaction –anxiety, excitation, agitation, hostility, aggression, rage, sleep disturbances/insomnia, hallucinations and coma. Haldol (haloperidol)is another antipsychotic drug used to treat psychotic disorders like schizophrenia to control motor movement and verbal tics and treat severe behavior problems in children.It is NOT approved for older adults with dementia because of increased chances of death during treatment. Side effects listed are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dry mouth, nervousness, headache, dizziness, insomnia, restlessness, anxiety, rash, itching, spontaneous eye movement, mood changes, blurred vision, difficulty urinating, movement disorders. Severe side effects –deathin elderly, irregular heartbeat and renal failure. Seroquel (quetiapine)is an antipsychotic to treat mental/mood conditions as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and depression. Side effects include constipation, drowsiness,upset stomach, tiredness, weight gain, blurred vision, dry mouth, dizziness, light headedness with serious side effects of restlessness, tremors, shakiness, abdominal pain, anxiety, depression, nausea, vomiting, yellow skin, suicide thoughts, interrupted breathing, trouble urinating, severe drowsiness and loss of consciousness.

Dr. Crenshaw-Logal has authored well over 100 articles, online and print, addressing various aspects of grassroots advocacy, First Amendment issues, democracy, human rights, and the administration of justice in America. She is author of “The Official End of Judicial Accountability Through Federal Rights Litigation: Ashcroft v. Iqbal”, 35 Am. J. Trial Advoc. 125 (Summer 2011), and Exploring the Vitality of Stare Decisis in America. Boca Raton: Universal Publishers, 2012. Crenshaw-Logal is a national spokesperson on tactics thwarting proper standards for regulating First Amendment activities among lawyers when their criticism of the judiciary or a judicial officer is involved.

Prior to working full time as a legal reform activist beginning in 1998, Dr. Crenshaw-Logal engaged in a general, civil law practice which primarily consisted of her prosecuting complex, personal injury claims, and advising small to medium, for profit as well as nonprofit entities. His death was hastened by Hospice in Orlando, Florida with Haldol, Ativan, morphine, lorazepam and fentanyl even though Tony and Jackie had been clear that he wanted to live and had revoked hospice.

Hospice staff suggested since he had been in and out of the hospital and rehabilitation facility several times that he didn’t want to continue this way and stated if he had a heart attack, he didn’t want to be revived – right? He said no, I do, I want to live. They were told he had no terminal illness after initially being told he did. After calling 911, the medical staff who took him to the hospital stated he had been overdosed and gave him Narcon to counteract all the drugs but he passed 3 days later.

Call in and listen to what can happen to you or your loved ones if you blindly trust rogue hospice and nursing home staff. All around us, private industries, contracted by public agencies, are profiting off the poor, the elderly, the homeless, the mentally ill, prisoners, persons with disabilities, and children.

These people aren’t vulnerable in and of themselves—they simply need assistance– but they are the first in line in terms of being vulnerable to exploitation by public agencies and private companies. In truth, there are accepted institutionalized court practices and revenue maximizing schemes on every level that steal from those who need it most.

In this show, we’ll discuss how the very systems set up to aid those who need help the most have morphed into profiteering industries.

3. Claudia received a letter from a state representative that said she was disruptive…when she had never been at a meeting that Claudia attended where she was accused of being disruptive…where did she get that info?
4. What is on the legislative table for this year in Washington state and whom do you consider to be your biggest adversary in making necessary changes?
