People gathered to protest the closing of Ashland County's Heartland Home.The Ashland County Commissioners voted to close the home due to budget cuts in the county's general fund. But, some area residents aren't going down without a fight.
Trudy Bays is one protester who has guardianship over her cousin who is a resident of Heartland Home. Bays says many residents do not have family outside of Heartland Home.

I always like it when people pull together for a common cause.
Power is indeed in the people and it's always good to see them use it.
Maybe with this reverse economical situation, people are more sensitive; they will have bigger hearts and compassion for others.
